We are so lucky to be a part of an amazing scene and have so many friends here and far away! Thank you so much to the bands, the Valley, our friends who helped make it happen, and all of you that came out to the show!
The night started off with an acoustic set from Paul Mars Black who got added on last minute but had a great show.
We then had Sparkle Carpet from Portland wow everyone with their original, quirky, and wonderful serenades. You guys are awesome and everyone needs to check them out!
Our good friends Hostilgato were next up and played an awesome set with enough energy to fill a space 6 times the size if the Valley!
Next up was Generation Decline. They never disappoint, and even played us some new tunes from their upcoming album! If you missed out go to their shows next time because you'll wanna hear the new stuff.
Then we had our tour buddies, our Salt Lake Sister Band, our friends, our amazing fellow musicians Drunk As Shit! They made it all the way out from SLC in one weekend to play our anniversary show. That is the greatest thing we could have asked for. They killed their set so hard, it was difficult to go after them!
Before our set, we had a special surprise from our close friends Kristin and Sam who got a special TPD birthday cake! Thanks guys it really made it special and added to the birthday theme so much!
We also had a pretty sweet raffle going throughout the night! The other bands donated and it was fun to see people picking prizes.
Then we got to play! We kicked off the night with four cover songs that we have played over the years just because we could. It was a lot of fun remembering where we were when we played those years ago and how much we have grown as a band. We played a bunch of our originals after that and we are so happy everyone seemed to have a fun time in the pit with us. We couldn't have asked for a better crowd, all of you are wonderful.
We ended the night with silly string, party poppers and lots of hugs, thank yous, and beers.
Oh and did we mention we drank the Valley out of rainier beer?
